  • "How Do I Order?"
    Contact Us via our Contact us page with all the information required. We aim to respond within 2 hours.
  • "How Long Does It Take To Set Up a Table?"
    Depending on the size of the grazing table, it can take up to 2.5 hours.
  • "How Long Does The Food Last?"
    On average, food should be consumed within a 4 hour period. However, temperatures exceeding 8 degrees can decrease this period to up to 2 hours. If temperatures around the grazing table can be made cooler, this will be advised to help your grazing table last longer! A standard booking is for 2 hours, replenishments are available for the Ultimate Grazing Tables or Weddings only.
  • "What Areas Do You Cater For?"
    We are primarily based in Milton Keynes but cover surrounding areas such as; Bedford, Luton and Buckingham. Any event located over 10 miles can be arranged but will be at an extra cost. Get in touch for more information, we will be happy to accommodate.
  • "How Much Notice Do I Need To Give Before Making a Booking?"
    We accept a minimum of 1 weeks' notice for any package. The weeks' notice will include the deposit being paid, any later, your booking is not confirmed. Please give as much notice as possible, this will allow Platters & Boards to work with you to create the perfect set up and personalised menu for your day.
  • "Do You Clear Up After An Event?"
    Yes we do. We clear up the Grazing table food and any mess around the table which is included in a booking that requires collection. For event clean ups, it is +20% of the original booking price. The clean up is for up to an extra 30 minutes after the booking end time and would only be the foods and supplies catered by Platters & Boards. For extra clean up of crockery, glassware and rubbish, arrangements can also be made.
  • "Do You Do Other Events?"
    We can do every event imaginable! From Baby Showers, Birthdays, Stag Dos to Weddings and Funerals. A Grazing table is perfect for any event. It is one of the most cost efficient ways to feed a large group of people without the hassle of physically catering to them. Everyone loves a table and the journey they're taken on when picking their own foods.
  • "When Do You Expect Final Payment?"
    We advise to make payment ASAP but the absolute final payment should be paid no later than 2 weeks before your Event. Failing to do so, can effect whether your booking will be continued. This is due to other events that could have been booked on the day and pre-orders that would need to be made.
  • "Do You Do Refunds For Cancelled Events?"
    Bookings made from 01/06/2024, will no longer allow a refundable booking. A 50% non-refundable deposit must be made to secure the Booking date. The remaining amount is to be paid no later than 2 weeks before the event. If Client would like to cancel, they understand, the service is non-refundable. However, changes to dates can be discussed if the new date requested is a date the Caterer can do.
  • "How Much Deposit Needs To Be Paid And Will This Be Returned?"
    A 50% non-refundable deposit must be made to secure the Booking date. The remaining amount is to be paid no later than 2 weeks before the event.
  • "What Are Your Pricing For Each Booking?"
    Our prices vary booking to booking. It depends on the guest size, food menu, location and what is required for the booking in terms of props and design. Please contact us and we will work together to get you the best price for your booking.
  • "Do You Have a Vegan Menu or Cater For Allergens?"
    We do not specifically have a vegan or allergens menu but can certainly cater to table alternatives. Please view our gallery for images or contact us and we can arrange this together. We will check with you before confirming a booking on any possible allergens that we need to be aware of.
  • "Does Platters & Boards have any Certifications?"
    Yes, the caterer that will arrange your booking and set up the Grazing Table for your event will be trained in Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering Level 2 and also trained in Allergens Awareness. Certifications can be shown upon request if needed.
  • "Does Platters & Boards have Insurance?"
    Yes, we have full Public Liability Insurance Cover. We ensure we note every step of our process from the foods and packaging used to our service agreements detailing the specifications of the job and what is involved.
